Ticking away the moments that make upwardly a dull day You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand style. Kicking around on a piece of footing in your home town Waiting for someone or something to show y'all the style. Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain. You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today. And so one day you observe ten years accept got behind you. No i told you lot when to run, y'all missed the starting gun. So you run and you run to catch upwardly with the sun only information technology's sinking Racing around to come up behind yous again. The sun is the same in a relative way merely y'all're older, Shorter of breath and one solar day closer to expiry. Every twelvemonth is getting shorter never seem to find the fourth dimension. Plans that either come to naught or one-half a folio of scribbled lines Hanging on in quiet agony is the English way The fourth dimension is gone, the vocal is over, Thought I'd something more than to say. Dwelling house, dwelling again. I similar to be here when I tin. When I come up abode cold and tired It'south good to warm my bones beside the fire. Far abroad across the field The tolling of the iron bell Calls the true-blue to their knees To hear the softly spoken magic spells.
